POOLS IN DELANO
What Delano pools are up against.
At the north end of the county, Delano gets the long, hot Central Valley summer in full. High heat for weeks on end is hard on pumps and motors that run long hours, and it drives up chlorine demand. Hard water leaves calcium on the tile and in the equipment, and wind off the surrounding vineyards and fields carries dust into the water. When a pump quits in July, a pool can go from clear to green in just a few days.
Cal Valley Pool & Spa is owner-operated by Brandon out of Bakersfield, and we’ve been in business around four years. The same tech who cleans your pool also fixes the equipment, so you deal with one person from the first call to the finished job.
WHAT WE DO IN DELANO
One-time pool services in Delano.
Tile cleaning & bead blasting
Hard water leaves a chalky white or gray band of calcium along the waterline. We bead blast it off the tile so the tile looks clean again, and we can work the edges and spa spillways too. More about tile cleaning ↗
Pool equipment repair
We work mostly on Pentair equipment: pumps, filters, heaters and automation. For pump replacements we install variable-speed pumps only. They run quieter and use less power than old single-speed pumps. More about pool repair ↗
Drain & clean / water change
Old water that's high in minerals or stabilizer can make chlorine weak and the water hard to balance. Draining and refilling gives you a fresh start. We schedule these carefully in hot weather so plaster isn't left baking empty in the sun. More about water changes ↗
Green pool cleanup
Green, cloudy or swampy, we bring it back to clear, blue water. We find out why it turned (often a failed pump, a dirty filter or chlorine burned off by the heat) so it doesn’t happen again. More about green pool cleanup ↗
