POOLS IN TAFT
What Taft pools are up against.
West-side towns like Taft are dry and dusty, with hot summers and wind that can carry fine dirt into the pool. That dust settles on the floor, clouds the water and clogs filters faster than you'd expect. Hard water adds calcium to tile and equipment, and long summer run times wear out pumps. When the filter is loaded with dust and the pump is struggling, algae can take over quickly.
Cal Valley Pool & Spa is owner-operated by Brandon out of Bakersfield, and we’ve been in business around four years. The same tech who cleans your pool also fixes the equipment, so you deal with one person from the first call to the finished job.
WHAT WE DO IN TAFT
One-time pool services in Taft.
Tile cleaning & bead blasting
Calcium and dust together leave a stubborn ring at the waterline. We bead blast the tile to take off the scale, which usually brings the tile back to clean without harsh acid scrubbing. More about tile cleaning ↗
Pool equipment repair
We work mostly on Pentair equipment: pumps, filters, heaters and automation. For pump replacements we install variable-speed pumps only. They run quieter and use less power than old single-speed pumps. More about pool repair ↗
Drain & clean / water change
Dust, minerals and high stabilizer build up in pool water over time. When chemicals stop holding, a drain-and-clean or water change gives you a fresh start, and while the pool is empty we can clean the surface and tile. More about water changes ↗
Green pool cleanup
Green, cloudy or swampy, we bring it back to clear, blue water. We find out why it turned (often a failed pump, a dirty filter or chlorine burned off by the heat) so it doesn’t happen again. More about green pool cleanup ↗
